In January 2008, Clear Passion Retrievers proudly welcomed the very first litter born under our kennel’s affix, “Of Clear Passion.” This special litter was the result of a carefully planned mating between our foundation female, CH Blue Star Music of Glen Sheallag, and the exceptional World Winner 2006 Moondust Masterpiece. From this outstanding pairing, we were blessed with a beautiful litter of 11 puppies, each with remarkable potential.
From this memorable litter, we retained three exceptional puppies in our kennel: the male Another Masterpiece of Clear Passion and two females, A Star Is Born of Clear Passion and All of My Hopes of Clear Passion. All three went on to complete their championships, further solidifying the quality of the breeding, and each has produced beautiful offspring that have contributed to the continued success of our program.
We are incredibly fortunate to have retained the bloodlines from this litter, particularly through the use of frozen semen from CH Another Masterpiece of Clear Passion, which was stored in 2011 and 2013. “Ice,” as he was affectionately known, was a spectacular stud dog and a beloved companion. He lived a long and fulfilling life with us, reaching the remarkable age of 16 years and 3 months. His littermates also enjoyed long lives, with All of My Hopes of Clear Passion living to the age of 15.
Even in our most recent litters, CH Another Masterpiece of Clear Passion continues to influence our breeding program as a great-grandfather, ensuring that his bloodlines are woven into our dogs. For us, this continuation of the Clear Passion legacy is incredibly meaningful, as it reflects our commitment to preserving the qualities that first drew us to the Golden Retriever breed. We strive to combine these older, time-tested lines with newer ones to create dogs that embody the true spirit of the Golden Retriever—gentle, intelligent, and devoted.
