The Dutch Imports: A Journey to Moondust kennel

In 2014, inspired by our admiration for the Moondust dogs, we made the decision to import two exceptional puppies from the Netherlands. Our connection with Ada and Fred Smink had deepened after the successful mating with WW Moondust Masterpiece, and we were excited to extend that relationship further. The two puppies—Moondust Highlander and Moondust Estacy—were a brother and sister duo, sired by the esteemed Majik Truth or Dare, a multi-champion male who would go on to become European Winner the following year.

Both puppies quickly demonstrated their outstanding qualities, not only in their striking appearances but also in their exemplary Golden temperaments. Moondust Highlander, affectionately known as Lincoln, was a standout show dog. He earned numerous group podium placements in competitions and gained further recognition when we traveled with him to the UK for the prestigious Crufts show in 2016. Lincoln was shortlisted among the final six dogs in the Yearling Class, marking a major milestone in his show career. Beyond his show success, Lincoln made a lasting impact as a sire, fathering a number of remarkable puppies. We are immensely proud of his progeny, who continue to carry his name forward. We are forever grateful to the breeders, Ada and Fred Smink, for entrusting us with such extraordinary dogs, whose legacy lives on through their offspring.
